Your Questions, Answered

Honest answers to the things people wonder about most.

Do you accept insurance?
At this time, Love Frequencies Collective is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. However, upon request I can provide a superbill — a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I recommend checking with your insurer about your out-of-network benefits before starting. Please reach out if you have questions about fees or payment options.
How much do sessions cost?
Sessions are offered at two lengths:

50-minute session — $150
80-minute session — $225

This rate applies to individual therapy, relationship therapy, and family therapy. Payment is due at the time of service. I accept major credit/debit cards and HSA/FSA cards.
Do you offer in-person and telehealth sessions?
Both! In-person sessions are available at the office in Mesa, AZ (1423 S Higley Rd. Ste 126). Telehealth sessions are available for clients located anywhere in Arizona and take place through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform — you'll receive a link before each session. All you need is a private space, a device with a camera and microphone, and a stable internet connection.
What is your cancellation policy?
At least 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice and no-shows will be charged 100% of the session rate. Arriving more than 15 minutes late also counts as a late cancellation and will be charged accordingly.

Cancellations must be made by calling (480) 809-9068 or through the Sessions Health client portal. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis in the event of an emergency.
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is really about getting to know each other. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you're hoping to get out of it, and a bit about your background and history. There's no pressure to share anything you're not ready for — we go at your pace. I'll also explain how I work and answer any questions you have. Most people feel a mix of nervous and relieved afterward!
How many sessions will I need?
This varies widely depending on your goals and what you're working through. Some people come for a focused period of a few months; others find ongoing therapy valuable for longer. We'll regularly check in about how things are going and adjust accordingly. There's no commitment required — you're always in charge of your own care.
Are you licensed and supervised?
Yes. Kerstyn Ludlow is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) in the state of Arizona, and practices under clinical supervision as required by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AZBBHE). Supervision ensures the highest standard of care for every client.
What if I'm in crisis or need emergency support?
Love Frequencies Collective is not an emergency mental health provider and cannot provide crisis intervention services. If you are in crisis, please contact one of these resources immediately:

What does "supervised private practice" mean?
Kerstyn Ludlow is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT). Under Arizona law (A.A.C. R4-6-217), associate-level therapists are required to practice under the oversight of a Board-approved clinical supervisor until they have completed the hours and experience required for independent licensure. This is a standard part of the licensure pathway — not a limitation on the quality of care you receive.

In practice, this means Kerstyn consults regularly with her supervisor, Michaela Decker, LMFT-15137, about cases (without sharing your identifying information) and that Michaela has access to clinical records as part of the required oversight process. Michaela is bound by the same confidentiality requirements as Kerstyn. You are welcome to contact Michaela directly at (480) 746-4894 or hello@vestacounseling.com with any questions or concerns about your care.
How do I contact you between sessions?
The primary and preferred method of communication outside of sessions is the Sessions Health client portal. Kerstyn does not text with clients. Email may be used for scheduling-related coordination only. You can also reach the practice by phone at (480) 809-9068.

Please keep in mind that the portal and phone are not monitored 24/7 and should not be used in a crisis or emergency — see the crisis resources above if you need immediate support. Kerstyn will respond to non-urgent messages within 24 business hours.
